About Us:

Buchanan Precision Machine was established in 1986 as a part time business to supplement my income from a full time job as a Toolmaker/ Design Engineer working for Gaiser Tool Company of Ventura CA. Gaiser Tool Co. is the undisputed world leader in the manufacturing of “Ultrasonic Bonding Tools” for the semiconductor industry. My function was to design and build automated production machines for their manufacturing facility.

In 1991 I left Gaiser to pursue Buchanan Precision Machine, full time. By that time it had out grown my garage, and was located at 2790 Sherwin Ave. Ventura CA. Shortly there after there was a relationship with NC Electronics which resulted ultimately in the Omniturn GT75 CNC Lathe, and another relationship with BOBCAD a software company that wanted to sell CNC Routers of my design. I also cultivated an interest in 4 wheel drive vehicles at that time, which has grown into a major obsession, and successful product line.

Buchanan Precision Machine has several different functions.

-First is the “JOB SHOP” which is in business to manufacture high quality machined parts. Customers include the US NAVY, AIR FORCE, ARMY, Law Enforcement, and various long time customers.

-Second is “Specialized Machine Design and Fabrication”. Design of Automated machinery for customer specified purposes. There is a long list of successful machines in use, worldwide.

-Third is “Product Development”. Which consists of development of products for sale by BPM. These products consist of Jeep and 4 Wheel Drive related products. Products for Model Airplanes, RC Cars, Boats, Trains, and just about anything else I feel like making.

There is a long “to do” list.
