Buchanan Precision Machine is a full service CNC machine shop. We specialize in short to long run production of small diameter turned parts. We also do 2 & 3 axis CNC milling, with emphasis on custom parts for specialized applications such as, Aerospace, Underwater, and Hobby related industries. We also manufacture numerous custom items for the off road industry, including those mentioned on the Jeep Parts page of this website. Our attention to detail and innovative finishing techniques insure that your parts will look as good as they work, so that you will have that extra edge in the market place. Product Development: If you have an idea for a product I will consult with you, and discuss the viability of the product along with the design and a production strategy that will yield a high quality end product and be worthwhile for you to market. I will also tell you if your idea stinks, and why. Reality sometimes dictates a check, and the world of design and manufacturing can be a very expensive, and is not a very forgiving arena. Bad ideas or ideas that are seem good but are marginal are everywhere. The “As Seen On TV Store” is a good place to see lots of them. Good ideas are few and far between, and can be a real gold mine for everyone concerned, so I’m ALWAYS willing to listen to what you have to say, but with 20 years of being in business, I have seen a lot of losers, and I won’t hesitate to “Explain the Reality” to you. One of the good ideas I was involved with is the product known as “Spin Shades”. These are little lamp shades that fit on top of a large Christmas Tree light, and spin because of the convection heat generated by the light bulb. I built all of the original manufacturing tooling for this product which was picked up by Kmart and several other large distribution outfits. It has been a real money maker, and the tooling was very inexpensive. A very good deal for the owner.
Buchanan Precision Machine will also design and build your automated production machines for whatever purpose. I have 25 years of specialized machine design experience and am familiar with most computerized control systems, as well as “Pneumatic”, and “Relay Logic” systems. My design of the Omniturn CNC lathe has been one of the most successful small CNC lathe designs of all time, and in the last 10 years, a consistent seller in the automatic lathe market, with sales well over 8,000 units, The intelligent design of the cabinet, which allows for very inexpensive manufacture, has proven to be exactly what was needed to make the CNC lathe affordable to every shop, and only in the last 4 years have outfits like Haas Automation, finally addressed this market with competitive machines.
My CNC Routers and Engraving Machines follow the same simple design philosophy and achieve high precision capabilities with relatively low cost. This translates to more value for your “Capital Expenditure” dollar, and more dollars in your pocket at the end of the day. My services include complete design, fabrication, and integration into your existing production line, or facility.
